Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 August 2026 · Applies to the Waarp iOS app and waarp.us

Waarp introduces you to people nearby, which means it handles where you are and what you say. This page says exactly what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it.

The short version. We collect what the app needs to work and nothing else. We do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not run ads, and we do not sell your data. You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.

Who we are

Waarp is operated by the Waarp team. For anything in this policy — including data access and deletion requests — write to harry4729@gmail.com.

What we collect

This list matches the privacy declaration bundled with the app and the App Store privacy label. All of it is linked to your account; none of it is used for tracking.

DataWhy
Precise locationTo show activities and live requests near you, to place you on the map during a session, and to confirm you actually arrived when you check in. Collected while you are using the app. Waarp does not track your location in the background.
Coarse locationStored with your notification token so we can tell whether a nearby request is worth waking your phone for.
NameShown on your profile and to people you meet.
Email addressSign-in and account recovery.
Phone numberOne-time SMS verification at sign-up. This is a safety measure — it makes throwaway accounts harder. Your number is never shown to other users.
PhotosYour profile picture and any photo you attach to a post or an activity.
Other content you writePosts, chat messages, your bio, interests, activity descriptions, reviews and ratings.
User IDThe account identifier that ties the above together.
Support messagesFeedback and reports you send us, so we can act on them.
DiagnosticsBasic crash and delivery information, including whether a notification reached your device.

What we do not collect

Who else processes it

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process data on our instructions only.

If you choose to share an activity to Instagram or Facebook, that share is handed to the app you picked and is then governed by that company's own policy. We send nothing to them unless you tap share.

What other people can see

Blocking

You can block anyone from their profile or from the menu on any post. Blocking hides their posts from you and yours from them, and stops the two of you being matched. The person you block is not told. You can review and undo blocks at Settings → Account → Blocked accounts.

How long we keep it

Deleting your account

Open the app and go to Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, posts, messages, photos and activity history. It is immediate and cannot be undone. You do not need to email us and we will not try to talk you out of it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act and, for users in Europe, the GDPR — you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to harry4729@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Age

Waarp is not for people under 18. Adults meet strangers in person through this app, and that is not appropriate for children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we delete it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your rows is enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app, so a bug in one screen cannot expose another person's data. No system is perfect; if we get something wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
